This page describes how PolishBuddy actually works as a product. It is not drafted or reviewed by a lawyer, and it uses placeholder company details (marked below) until real ones are supplied. Treat it as an accurate description of product behavior, not as finished legal counsel — have a qualified lawyer review it before this goes live for real users.

1. What PolishBuddy is

PolishBuddy is a paid, AI-powered travel companion for Poland. You chat with "Buddy," an AI persona, to get recommendations about places, food, history, and culture. Buddy is clearly disclosed as AI-generated in this product's marketing and footer — it is not a real person, a licensed tour guide, or a travel agent.

2. What PolishBuddy does not do

PolishBuddy does not book, reserve, or purchase anything on your behalf.
PolishBuddy does not guarantee the accuracy of any recommendation, price, opening hour, or availability. Always verify details — especially prices, hours, and reservations — directly with the place or business before relying on them.
PolishBuddy is not a licensed travel agent, tour operator, or emergency service.

3. Access and payment

Chat access to Buddy requires a one-time, time-limited pass purchased through Stripe. The pass is a single payment for a fixed number of days — it does not auto-renew, and there is nothing to "cancel." Browsing Discover Poland, building a trip, and using My Poland do not require an active pass; only the chat conversation with Buddy does.

4. Your account

PolishBuddy does not use traditional email/password accounts. Your access is tied to a pseudonymous device identifier stored in your browser. If you switch devices or clear your browser storage, use the email-based recovery flow to move an active pass to a new device.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PolishBuddy to attempt to extract, manipulate, or misuse the underlying AI system (including attempts to override its instructions), to submit unlawful or harmful content, or to interfere with the service's normal operation.

6. PolishLocal businesses and partners

Some places shown in PolishBuddy may be marked as "PolishLocal Partners." Partner status reflects a commercial relationship and does not affect how places are ranked in recommendations — ranking is based on relevance to you, not commercial arrangements. Any perk or offer shown is provided directly by the business; PolishBuddy is not a party to that transaction.

PolishBuddy is provided "as is." Recommendations are informational only and should not be treated as professional travel, safety, medical, or legal advice.
